CareerwiseNG began with an idea during the COVID-19 lockdown in early 2020, echoed in Isaac Newton's words: we go further when we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. Too many talented people make career decisions in isolation, without a mentor to ask, a coach to challenge their thinking, or a tool to help them see their own strengths clearly. That gap, between talent and guidance, is what CareerwiseNG was built to close.
I found myself speaking to people across the world during the lockdown about career decisions, transitions and indecision. It began as a simple reaction to a tweet where the handle complained about people being lazy at work. I responded, and the likes grew. People began to subscribe to my offer of free mentoring that season. I am glad to see them settled in the right places over time.
Since founding CareerwiseNG, I have worked to make that guidance accessible — assembling a team of qualified, internationally experienced coaches and building a full suite of services, from training & development to career coaching, assessment, and coaching, so no one has to navigate a career decision alone. The mission is simple: help people avoid the pitfalls that come from going it alone, and help organisations build teams around people who are genuinely the right fit.
